The Selflessness Psyop
How Cult Leaders use Humility to Deceive and Why Ego is needed to protect yourself from propaganda and brainwashing.
When I say that humility is a skill and not a virtue, everyone loses their shit.
But the truth is, genuine and 100% pure humility is nothing but a myth and a dream that all humans entertain.
In fact, claiming to be humble is nothing but exhibiting a God complex.
Sounds counterintuitive right?
The truth is that manipulative individuals place high importance on how you perceive them.
To optimize the idea you hold of them, they will imply a moral edge over you by telling you that you should become more humble:
Implicitly saying that they are humble themselves.
Take the example of Jim Jones or Marshall Applewhite, two cult leaders that placed a huge emphasis on convincing their followers to be more humble and selfless.
Both caused mass suicides among their cult members.
Facts are: Anyone preaching humility is nothing but a fraud.
Who else would be so arrogant as to dictate to others how they should perceive themselves?
This subtle gaslighting is a way to get a stronger psychological hold over whoever listens to them.
Sometimes, the approach is different and more of a reverse psychology trick.
But the aim and intentions remain the same.
A manipulator will say and show how ‘humble’ they are, in order to influence how you perceive them.
Making you believe that humility will save you when all it does is enslave you and force you to obey the orders of the cult leader.
Because if you’re humble and your ego is depleted: then you will obey blindly and take their word as absolute truth.
When I say that preaching selflessness is a God complex, it’s exactly these Gurus and political predators who actively try to build up an image of moral high ground where they deceive people by pretending to be all loving and compassionate.
They’re telling us to be humble, but they do not follow their own word. And how dare you question their humility if you ever do?
Anyone who actively tells you to limit yourself and abilities by simply being humble and “listening to them”, is someone you should walk away from and take distance.
For your own safety.
Many people talk about the danger of “inflated ego” or “excessive pride” but not enough people talk about the necessity for a healthy self-image and the necessity to not humble yourself before other human beings.
Whether they are telling YOU to be humble or insisting on how THEY are humble: There is a huge red flag there.
Ego depletion is a manipulation technique.
You can look that up.
It consists of bringing down your ego to zero to establish mind control over you. You probably won’t notice it at the time.
But if you zoom out and study cults, you will notice one dominant pattern: The member of the cult has no personal ambitions.
They are nothing but a servant of the cause.
There is nothing more dangerous than people like this.
Because they’re blindly controlled by those who pull their strings.
There is no soul anymore because they’ve been brainwashed into thinking that their free will and ego are completely meaningless compared to the “Greater cause”.
And that’s how they commit the most despicable acts.
From mass murders, if you’re thinking of Charles Manson; to mass suicide if you go back to the example of Jim Jones and the People’s Temple.
The main takeaway here: Only humble yourself to learn something new.
Do not make humility part of your identity and personality because that will make you vulnerable and prone to manipulation.
Selflessness is a psyop.
Think for yourself, do what’s in your best interest.
And most importantly: Reject brainwashing in all forms.
Think about the covid plandemic and how they leveraged “authority” figure to push a vaccine that didn’t work.
From celebrities to experts, all have been telling you to “Trust the scientists”
They will try to tame you down and tell you to "humble yourself" in an attempt to prevent you from thinking for yourself.
I repeat: Selflessness and humility are a psyop.
They’re skills you use to learn something new or manipulate others.
They are not a virtue in the grand scheme of things.
I know that most people will either not reach this sentence or even understand the point of what I just wrote.
I'm fine with that.
But if you do, I salute you.
Banger! Your ego is what will get you to do great things, not just normal shit.
This blog reminds me of my problem with "Don't be judgmental." You should be very judgmental about who you spend your time with, what you spend your money on, etc. You should be very judgmental as an artist and as a spectator. Have a viewpoint! Take a stance! Having no viewpoint is for fools and the fearful. Have the courage to make a judgment.
Now I think I have to write an essay about that, will post it on www.cyberpatterns.xyz when it's up.
Just subscribed to you, looking forward to reading more
Hey, just found your blog here and I like to read different viewpoints and think both you and Ryan Holiday have some valid points.
I just started my own substack, where I cover business, finance, mindset, but also: History, Philosophy, Exercise, Politics and Science - all applied to business to see how we can use our human knowledge to make a change and have a positive impact on the future.
I would love to connect with you over e-mail. Maybe we’ll find some common interests. I would also love you to write something as a guest writer, I would volunteer to do the same on your Substack. I’m always keen on making new friends and finding likeminded people.
Keep up the great work. 🙌
